CR7's hat-trick helps Real Madrid dominate over Atletico Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) proved to be an absolute destroyer of Atletico Madrid's Champions League title one more time. His blithering hat-trick took his team to a very dominating score line of 3-0 in the semi-final, first leg lead on Tuesday.

Cristiano furthered his lead as the all-time top scorer in the Madrid derby games by scoring his 400th goal, putting his team on a very firm course in defending their title in the final match on June 3 in Cardiff.

All through the time Diego Simeone has been their goalie, Atletico Madrid has conceded only 20 times in the UEFA Champions League knockout rounds and nine of them have been scored by the side whose sight definitely makes Los Colchoneros sick.

All the 3 strikes were triggered off by Cristiano-legend-Ronaldo himself on Tuesday, just like when these sides met last November in the League. The Portuguese football sensation has moved to 103 goals in the Champions League football. This amounts to a number greater than what Atletico have ever scored in the competition proper.

"The team was tremendous. I scored the goals but the team was phenomenal from start to finish," said Ronaldo. He further added, "We have a good advantage but the tie isn't over yet."

The second leg of the match will be played on the 10th of May. After the break, the first goal came of when Casemiro's unmistakable cross slit the Atletico Madrid's defence, before the Portuguese legend put his team on the verge of another final appearance after the break.

Benzema set Ronaldo up in the 73rd minute to smash home his second on a half-volley and he finished from a near range with 4 minutes remaining as the opponents offered little resistance.

The visitors' best chance came during the high on adrenaline first-half, when Gameiro broke through after seventeen minutes but the attempt was foiled by Navas as he tried to round the Madrid goalkeeper.
