Cricket World Cup: Google doodle celebrates India vs Bangladesh quarter-final
The Internet search giant Google's homepage celebrates India-Bangladesh Cricket World Cup quarterfinal match at Melbourne with a doodle which depicts batsmen with the flags of the two countries in the background. The caption of today's doodle is "It's India v Bangladesh in the Quarter-Finals."

The 2015 Cricket World Cup is the 11th Cricket World Cup, jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand from 14 February to 29 March 2015 with fourteen teams and 49 matches at 14 venues.

As we know that the opening ceremonies were held separately in Christchurch, New Zealand and Melbourne, Australia, on 12 February 2015, two days before the first two matches which were telecast worldwide.

India is the defending champion, having won the tournament in 2011 when it was held in the Indian subcontinent, defeating Sri Lanka in the finals by 6 wickets.

Furthermore, Sachin Tendulkar was named as the 2015 Cricket World Cup Ambassador by the ICC for the second time as the official event ambassador.
