ICC Cricket World Cup 2015
Cricket World Cup QF 2: Best of luck Team India, don't take Bangladesh lightly
In the first quarter-final of Cricket World Cup played in Australia, South Africa has defeated Sri Lanka. Now there are three Asian teams left in the race to win the prestigious title. On 19th March 2015, India is facing Bangladesh in the second quarter-final match.

India in league matches, as per record, did very well by wining all six matches it played. Many really wondered how team India got transformed to a different team than the team playing in Australia nearly for three months. Many say that a valuable rest made them a spirited side.

However on a closure scrutiny one can realize that both Pakistan and South Africa lost their matches against India due to huge pressure. India got only one confident and comprehensive win against UAE and Afghanistan. The Team India struggled against West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Rohit Sharma didn't click as per his standard and form. Rabindra Jadeja has failed to impress. He didn't bat at all and even bowling was not at par with standard. If India has to include Jadeja as a bowler in final eleven then Axar Patel is better option over him? Jadeja's selection ahead of Yuvraj Singh definitely failed in the league matches at least.

Thus it's clear that despite six wins India has some problems in the team. Not to forget that Bangladesh can't be considered minnows in this format of cricket. It had knocked out India in 2007 World Cup, that too in group stage. Bangladesh also knocked out India from the last Asia Cup final. They have got some wonderful cricketers in their team who can inflict a defeat to any major team including India.

Thus India need to be careful and shouldn't be over-confident. One improvement in the team is noticed that Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become very communicative now. In 2011 he was not as communicative as many senior players were there. They know how to bat or how to set fielding off their bowling. Thus India became winner irrespective of a non-communicative captain.

Dhoni followed the same formula after the seniors left out of the team. That's why he failed to win at abroad (except Champions Trophy) including the last triangular series. But in the ICC World Cup one would be pleased to see the communication between captain and the players in every aspect.

In fact his discussion with bowlers regarding field plan to get wickets of set batsmen were really very impressive. I think he will continue on that. Cricket is also a game of good captainship skills. Dhoni now is exhibiting super-class captainship.

I would just give two suggestions. Make Ajinkya Rahane to open instead of Rohit Sharma. Rohit would be good at number-4. Second is, drop Ravindra Jadeja and include either Axar Patel or Stuart Binny depending upon the pitch condition.

Let's wish best of luck to Team India!
