Cricketer Yuvraj Singh seeing IPL as a ticket to catch Team India's flight
Everyone knows this jolly well that working purely on the basis of commercial interests, no franchises will put stake of a whopping Rs. 16 crores if the incumbent is not worth it. Therefore, selection of Yuvraj Singh by Delhi Daredevils amply proves that he has the element in him.

Many former cricketers including legendary Sunil Gavaskar had opined in favor of Yuvraj Singh. Well, the timing seems to be perfect with reference to the above statement given by the brave and bold Indian cricketer.

Even prior to the beginning of the World Cup, during the 4 test series against Australia, followed by the tri-series, when Team India was looking totally down and out with not even single win, many of the fans fondly remembered Yuvraj Singh. They wanted him to fit in the much needed role of an all- rounder, an essential requirement for Team India.

It is true that in the World Cup Team India led by seasoned MS Dhoni had scaled a miraculous comeback but a hell lot of the supporters do believe that had there been a good all-rounder in team, the end result would have been altogether different.

A left handed batsman, Yuvraj Singh, who also happens to be a very good fielder, is confident of his return to Team India. Singh said that IPL is his first step towards ensuring selection in Indian cricket team.

"I am enjoying playing cricket again. I have been away from cricket for a while now, so just looking forward to get back. Taking one step at a time and IPL is definitely the first step," said Yuvraj Singh as reported by The Hindu.

For Yuvraj, who had last played an ODI for India in 2013, this appears to be an important IPL season not just for his career but also for his team Delhi, who ended last in the eight-team event last year.

The Chandigarh-born Yuvraj has represented India in 293 ODIs and 40 Tests. If Yuvi does well in IPL, we hope he can benefit team India in the future as well.
