Reportedly, they were having an argument about the deceased's (Shweta Bindra, 36) affair with a man working at their daughter's school and it spiraled out of control. Losing his temper Rajnish Kumar Singh, 44 years, stabbed his wife 18 times with a kitchen knife. The couple lives in DLF Phase IV and Shweta used to run a play school.

As reported by TOI, after stabbing his wife in stomach, back and chest he called the police at around 10:30 am. By the time police got to their place, Shweta was already dead. The couple were married for 9 years and has 3 children. Two of them- a daughter of 7 years and 11 month old son, were sleeping in the house while their 5 year old daughter was visiting a relative.
