Daniel Monzon's prison drama Celda 211 and Alejandro Amenabar's historical blockbuster Agora are nominated for 16 and 13 categories for the Goya Award 2010. World renowned Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is nominated for the Best Actress Award for the film Broken Embraces.

Argentinean filmmaker Juan Jose Campanella's thriller The Secret of Her Eyes nominated for the best Spanish language foreign film. Argentinean actor Ricardo Darin for The Secret of Her Eyes and Oscar winner Rachel Weisz for Agora are nominated in the category of Best Actor Award. Academy Award winning film Slumdog Millionaire is nominated for Best European Film. Alejandro Amenabar, director of film Agora is nominated for Best Director Award. Pilar Castro of film Gordos and Antonio Resines of Celda 211 are nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Actor Award. Dario Marianelli from film Agora is nominated for Best Score.

The 2010 Goya Award winners will be announced on February 14 in Madrid. The Goya nominations were selected from 120 eligible Spanish and Latin films released in Spain.
