Cuban communist politician Fidel Castro says NATO is like Nazis
Several months ago, I'd written an article "Fidel Castro - thy name is courage" in this portal as my tribute to one of the world's most loved and respected leader - Fidel Castro. For the sake of continuity I'm referring few lines of it here.
"If there was one name that had sent shivers through all Capitalist rulers of the world since 1959 till he voluntarily withdrew from power - the name is Fidel Castro. If there is one name that commands respect without demand among poorest of the poor of the planet Earth - the name is Fidel Castro. Think of him and a picture pops up upon the mental screen - a bearded revolutionary with a cigar dangling down the right side of his pout, a man of steely resolve, a man who had refused to accept any dictates from mightiest of the mighty and haughtiest of the haughty."

He makes rare appearances now. However, the world still listens in pin-drop silence when he speaks. Recently, he lashed out at the United States and Europe and called NATO a military alliance as Nazi SS. He accused the members of NATO as war-mongers.

In a column published in Cuban state media, the most prominent revolutionary of the 20th Century blamed US Senator John McCain for facilitating the most pro-Israel United States policy in the Middle East. He said that US is Israel's unconditional ally.

He charged the European Economic Community of following the Revenge and Vendetta politics. According to Fidel Castro, Europe has neither forgotten nor accepted the hard facts of European Retreat from China and Russia and the collapse of its Colonial Rule.

"The world has seen no respite in recent years, particularly since the European Economic Community, under the strict and unconditional leadership of the United States, decided the time had come to settle scores with what was left of two great nations (Russia and China) that... had carried out the heroic deed of putting an end to the imperialist colonial order imposed on the world by Europe and the United States," said the 88-year-old leader. He accused the West of "cynicism" and said the trait had become "a symbol of imperialist policy."

He singled out McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential candidate, saying he had supported Israel's Mossad intelligence agency and "participated together with that service in the creation of the Islamic State, which today controls a considerable and vital portion of Iraq and reportedly one-third of Syria as well."

He made a poignant statement that Adolf Hitler's greed-based empire went down in history with no more glory than the encouragement provided to NATO's aggressive and bourgeois governments, which makes them the laughing stock of Europe and the world."

Presently, he is leading a retired life since 2006 and facing some health problems also. However, he still spends his time to write books and often receives foreign dignitaries.
