Cyberabad police arrests seven members of 'Snake Gang'
Here are young people calling themselves as 'snake gang' resorting to exploit young lovers, threatening them by showing a big snake, committing criminal acts like gang rape and looting their belongings. By filming their criminals acts using mobiles they are also threatening to circulate the film over social media like Facebook, if anyone dares to complain against them to police

However courage demonstrated by a young girl, who was herself victim of such gang, alerted the Cyberabad police and helped to unearth their criminal activities. The police found the gang based in Pahadi Shareef area of Hyderabad. This gang in past had gang raped about 37 love birds.

Their modus operandi was to catch love birds who had strayed into the interiors of hillocks for privacy and intimacy. The matter came to light recently with Cyberabad police arresting seven members of the gang active in Pahadi Shareef area of Hyderabad.

Police have booked a case under Nirbhaya act against the gang-led by Faisal Daini. They had arrested seven members and looking out for one more. Another member of the gang was identified as Salam Hamdi.

According to police, the gang had attacked the woman in a farm house in the Shaheen Nagar area where she was staying with her fiancée. The gang, which entered the farmhouse by scaling a wall, first overpowered her fiancee and tied him before attacking the woman.

The security guard was beaten up. So was her fiancée, the son of a businessman. Her captors then pulled out a snake to ensure the 18-year-old didn't fight back, while four of them took turns to rape the girl. They also filmed the sexual assault, threatening to release it online if she reported them to the police. The gang then escaped with Rs. 60,000 in cash and other valuables on July 31.

The woman, whose marriage was due shortly, was also tortured brutally. The teen decided to file a police case after investigators assured her that her identity would be protected. Three weeks after the egregious assault, the seven alleged rapists have been arrested along with two men who reportedly helped them remain underground.

The police say the gang also conducted kangaroo courts, settling land disputes while demanding huge commissions. The main accused, Faisal Dayyani, is said to have the backing of some political leaders and had tried to bribe a police inspector not to register the gang-rape case. The inspector has been transferred.

The BJP's Mahila Morcha staged dharna at Ambedkar statue near tank bund on Thursday seeking CBI probe into this gang's activities. Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy alleged that MIM was supporting the Snake Gang.
