Dadri lynching: Mr. Azam Khan before writing to UN, you should have written a letter to your Chief Minister!
Post unfortunate Dadri lynching incident, now a senior cabinet minister in Akhilesh Yadav-led UP government, Azam Khan declared that he was seeking UN intervention to look into the alleged miseries of minorities in India. Azam Khan has written a letter to the UN Secretary General, Ban-Ki-moon in which he accused RSS of working to turn secular and pluralistic India into a majoritarian theocratic nation as `Hindu Rashtra'.

He further said that, "Fascist forces are attempting to create a divide in the society by launching a hate campaign against Muslims and Dadri incident is an example of this."

Further the Minister said there had been sporadic incidents of ethnic or communal clashes, but the real essence of freedom and secularism had never been under question or threat as it is since last one and half year.

Reportedly, in his letter he wrote, "I humbly request to the highest international body to look in to our miseries and take care of us and impress upon the Indian government to stick to international agreements and allow to flourish secularism and plurality in the country and not to push the agenda of extra constitutional authorities to turn India in to theocratic majority Hindu nation."

He further asserted that situation in India is no different than that of Syria. According to him the aggression of RSS and its affiliate organizations has multiplied because they want to make India minority free by 2022-23 and Dadri incident was a grim reminder and sinister campaign of the Organization where one old Muslim man was lynched over the rumour of consuming beef.

Maybe Azam Khan forgot to mention that the UN should carry out Ariel bombings over RSS and BJP head quarters. Interestingly till now SP has not issued any official stand on this dangerous intent of its senior cabinet minister. Perhaps they might be busy in assessing the possible they could get out of this letter. Neither the so called secular industry has come up with any official statement over Azam's letter. Looks for them India's integrity, honour and status is a secondary issue compared to the narrow political interest.

Coming back to Azam Khan's complaint. Let me ask Mr. Khan, who is running the  government in UP? Who is responsible for maintaining law and order in the state? Why Akhlaq couldn't be saved? How in your state attackers (it doesn't matter whether they are from RSS or BJP or any other group) got a free hand to lynch an old man?

Had government of India imposed emergency in your state? Had your government's powers curtailed? Why your government doesn't resign if you can't provide safety to your people as mandated by the Constitution?

There are some questions to be asked, will you (Azam Khan) ask Pakistan to be co-applicant with you? In case of a military intervention whom you will prefer to attack India? USA-led NATO or Russia-led new allies like China and Iran or you prefer a military intervention by Pakistan supported by Saudi Arab and others?

Sometimes for petty political interests veteran leaders too put national interest on the back burner. The sole intention here is to achieve selfish goals. They don't mind what loss the nation could incur because of their political interests. Nation is just secondary to them.

Azam Khan is not alone. Earlier there were some 100 plus intellectuals and politicians who pleaded US government not to approve VISA of a democratically elected CM only because they hate a person called Narendra Modi.

But what these leaders, with a petty mindset, forget that if they start doing a minority polarisation, there might also be possibility of counter polarisation of majority community. Also will it not be not insulting to Indian Muslims' impeccable high integrity and patriotism while showing them as revolting against their own country?

Shouldn't UP Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav sack Azam Khan for his action of writing against the nation? Maybe Mulayam Singh-led Samajwadi Party doesn't have that courage to stop Azam Khan, but people of India are not fool. They will teach a right lesson to such mindless tyrants at a right time.
