In his last tenure with the Patriots which spanned four years, he had 16 touchdowns and caught 165 passes for 2,513 yards. Although, the best season of his career with New England was in 2004, where he had 7 touchdowns and 800 yards receiving
Patten didn’t play football last year, and it’ll be slightly difficult for him to get a roster spot, although the Patriots have signed him since they’re sure Patten has the required fitness level to contribute to the team. The most important contribution of Patten will probably be his experience and veteran presence to the squad. Patriots have a relatively young line-up and Patten’s presence will definitely add the much needed depth to the side.
