Day 7 of US Open belonged to Nadal, Murray and Roddick
The seventh day of the competition saw several big players such as Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, Andy Murray playing against their respective opponents and walk into the next round of the competition. The tournament is expected to get tougher in the upcomin
BIG PLAYERS such as Rafael Nadal, Andy Roddick, and Andy Murray were engaged in their third round tie against their respective opponents on Day 7 of the competition in the men’s draw.
 All these players put up an impressive performance on the court as they were supported by the fans seated in the stadium. All these players have moved into fourth round of the competition, which is gradually also leading to the business end of the competition. 
One of the most anticipated matches of the competition for the 7th day was scheduled at Arthur Ashe Stadium, between Nadal and Nalbandian. The Spaniard played out a very good game against the big Argentinean player. Nadal won the match in straight sets, where the score read 7-6(5), 6-1 and 7-5. Andy Murray, the British number one player has been on the lookout for a US open title and he looks in terrific form to accomplish his goal. He was quick on his feet when he played against Feliciano Lopez from Spain, as Murray walked away with the match as the score read, 6-1, 6-4 and 6-2. He could be the man to beat in the competition as he has been hitting the ball really well in the competition. After James Blake was knocked out of the competition, the local fans at Arthur Ashe Stadium were cheering for another US player, Andy Roddick, who responded to their cheering with an energetic display on the court. He managed to defeat Frenchman, Julien Benneteau in straight sets too. The score line read 6-1, 6-4 and 7-6(5). In the third set the American looked a bit in trouble as the Frenchman tried to take the match to the fourth round, but failed, as Andy Roddick won a tie breaker in the third set. All American fans are looking up to Andy to put up a splendid performance in the competition. Till now, he has not disappointed.  He would be ready for future challenges in the tournament, as the matches are expected to be tougher in the upcoming rounds. The eight day of the competition would witness players like Roger Federer, Jo Tsonga, Novak Djokovic , who are also top players clinching towards the title.
