Deann Rene has proven herself more than ever to be a musical angel from Texas, when it comes to Country and Rock music. She comes at a time when people want the real thing instead of the fast food type of music that appears in mainstream music.
I DISCOVERED the music of Deann Rene by accident when looking at information about more singers and songwriters from Texas. The webpage announced a concert by Deann Rene and Jessica Shepherd together. She started to compose her own music with the piano and began to learn how to play the guitar during her college years. Deann Rene is a believer in music as a global language. She is comfortable with music from Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Michael Jackson, Prince, Jazz, and even Latin Music. Deann Rene has been able to learn from her idols and her diverse musical tastes too form a style that is totally Deann Rene. She even has her own band with Deann Rene in the vocals, guitar, and songwriter; John Barrientez is the lead guitar player and co-writer of the band’s music. Drew Potter is the bass and Rick Dart is the drummer to complete the Deann Rene band.Deann Rene has the Midas touch in music. When Deann Rene composes and sings, the music is pure gold. Here are some examples of her music. The song “Make It Work” is very inspiring and upbeat concerning life in general. When I hear this song, it makes me focus on everything that is positive in life. The melody itself is also upbeat.“Andrew” is a song in tribute to people with that name. At least this is my opinion of the song. The song is upbeat and positive and says everything about Andrew. The melody itself is pure rock that does not exist in the mainstream music scene of New York or Hollywood. I heard the song “Carry Me” and the melody reminds me of my trips to the Florida Keys. The melody is slow but upbeat and talks about the need for people to help others in time of need.“Too Hot For Me” is another uplifting song which reminds me of how to get out when the getting is good in some of the toughest situations in life. The song [again I am not sure] has a spiritual base with the need for a relationship with God or a Superior Being. The song at least has helped me when feeling sad and down. It has also helped me in my writings. Deann Rene has proven herself more than ever to be a musical angel from Texas, when it comes to Country and Rock music. She comes at a time when people want the real thing instead of the fast food type of music that appears in mainstream music. I recommend Deann Rene and her music to the rest of the world. She deserves a place in the music world for her exceptional talent.
