Deepika and Ranveer to play Ram Leela

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a man who makes wonderful cinema but he facing some trouble with the casting of his forthcoming film Ram Leela. However, now everything seems to be normal as he has got two very good actors on board.

AFTER MACBETH and Othello, now it is time for the Shakespearean tragedy Romeo Juliet to be pictured on the Bollywood silver screen. While both the previous attempts by various directors have gone down in history, the expectations from this film,which is named Ram Leela, is the same as it is being directed by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

One of the most exciting announcement made recently is that Deepika Padukone will play the role of Leela in the film. The lead actor Ram would be played by none other than the lover boy of Bollywood Ranveer Singh. The director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali wants a fuming chemistry between the duo and so he has asked them to hang out together as much as possible and get to know each other better. This will ensure that the awkwardness that one experiences after the first meeting is not visible in front of the camera.

Controversy has already started brewing around the film as initially the role of Leela was to be played by Kareena Kapoor but she decided to walk out. Next in line was Priyanka Chopra who was also not interested in the Hindi version of the Romeo Juliet. But it looks like Deepika is here to stay and it might so happen that like Cocktail she might again create magic on screen as Leela.
