Defaulting celebrities may face backslash
Common people feel that celebrities actively participated in wooing the youth to come out and vote but failed to cast their vote have not performed their responsibilities as citizen of a democratic country and therefore lacked responsible mindset.

Their endorsement of various products may also face similar lack of response from the public at large as, like in the case of casting vote, they themselves are not the users of the endorsed product.
The endorsements seem to be principally for earning money and do not confirm to the stated benefits. It may be noted that all those politicians who did not perform well had been rejected by the electorates. Even the newly formed United Progressive Alliance cabinet under the leadership of Dr Manmohan Singh have dumped politicians with dubious background.
