Dekho O Deewano Tum Yeh Kaam Na Karo......
My father was a diehard follower of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, and I don't think it is necessary to remind who the great Maulana was! He was a firm believer of AKHAND BHARAT where every Bhartiya would enjoy equal rights and no discrimination on the basis of religion, caste and creed.

It is quite in contrast of RSS' deceptive concept of a BHARAT where the ethos of 'Hindu Sanatan Dharma' would forcefully outflank every other Indian Faith. My father didn't go to Pakistan in 1947 despite lots of lucrative opportunities available there as many of his friends or colleagues had managed to find great positions in the newly formed country. It was easier for my father to be one of them. In 1952 Zamindari was abolished and our family fell to very, very bad days. We stayed in our country India. No one should question my credentials as Indian. I'm second to none. Like my father I believed deeply in the ideology of Maulana Azad and would always be proud of that.

Like Maulana Azad, my father was against creation of Pakistan and I do always feel that it was a failed experiment. I have written about it in several articles in Merinews also.

I can't understand the rebellion of few Kashmiris against the democratic State of India as Pakistan has already been hijacked by Wahabi terrorists who are almost the replica of fanatics of the Saffron Brigade. I have never written a word to support the Hurriyat ideology. I feel Kashmir is an INTEGRAL PART of India and Kashmiris must feel themselves as Indians as anyone else.

However, as after the Pulwama terror attack, where more than 40 CRPF personnel were killed in a suicide bomb blast, everyone in this country was angry and wanted revenge for the blood of our soldiers. Unfortunately, a small section of saffronites decided to harass the Kashmiris who are leading the peaceful life in India like every other Indian citizen. Some of the irrational and overzealous hoteliers, shop owners and even landlords are reported to have put up notices reading no entry for Kashmiris. Business owned by Kashmiris across India too faced the backlash with many of them being vandalized. In some places Kashmiris was threatened and harassed. Like always, PM Modi issued a mild condemnation of sorts and harassing of Kashmiris continues. We know it was like a dollar too less and a day too late.

In the latest incident of assault on Kashmiris, a group of saffronites were seen on camera thrashing two Kashmiri youths in Uttar Pradesh's capital city Lucknow on Wednesday evening. Two dry fruit vendors were accosted by the "fringe right-wing group" wearing saffron clothing while they were Kashmiri was sitting on a busy road on Daliganj bridge. The incident, the video of which has gone viral, took place at around 5 pm on March 6.

Some locals, however, rushed to their rescue and informed the police. I know some arrests would be made as eyewash and soon after they will get the bail. We have certain laws of the land that could grant the bail to Babu Bajrangi of Naroda Patiya massacre fame that took place in Gujarat in 2002. He was granted bail on health grounds this Thursday. Interestingly, a single judge bench of Gujarat High Court (HC) comprising Justice SG Gokanki decides to reject regular bail petition of former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt. We believe that our judiciary has always made big decisions. We honour and follow the law of the land.

Now the simple question - How could we endear the sullen Kashmir by denying the right of survival to ordinary Indian Kashmiri, it is something that Nagpur must tell us!

Here, I'm NOT questioning how the Indian Muslims feel these days or even any liberal Indian feels these days. However, my head was lowered in shame as I watched an MP and an MLA, both from the BJP on Wednesday coming to blows during a meeting to discuss developmental projects. Their argument soon turned ugly as the two leaders got into jostling, pushing each other and ultimately fisticuffs. Thy both hit the footwear so many times that I failed to count despite repeated efforts. It was an ugly dance of lowest politics. The incident took place during a meeting of the District Action Plan Committee at the Collectorate where various representatives and officials were present.

I won't take up the Rafale conundrum here as it is still in the crucible. But I must confess that I don't like to comment on what Arvind Kejriwal tweeted, "This means that Modi ji has committed a theft. Now he has got the entire set of documents stolen. If he had committed a theft, where was the need to have documents disappeared? A prime minister, who masterminds stealing of documents related to the armed forces is very dangerous to the country.' His attack came after the Narendra Modi government on Wednesday told the Supreme Court that documents related to the Rafale deal were stolen from the ministry of defence. Attorney General KK Venugopal had told the Supreme Court bench comprising Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SK Kaul and Justice KM Joseph that documents relating to the Rafale deal, which advocate Prashant Bhushan has been relying on, were stolen from the ministry of defence.

On 11 February, 2019 I'd written an article in Merinews titled "The darners and the ripped quilt of the BJP". And here are some excerpts of that:

A rafoogar was a very personal employee of royals.

To adjust, amend and to find a safe passage out of any embarrassing situation crept up owing to their follies, they would appoint a smart, shrewd, witty courtier who would salvage even the worst situation his master might have landed into.

These days, the job of Rafoogari is being undertaken by a team of pen-pushers for RSS / BJP conglomerate. The nation has realised, and I would say luckily in time that after getting power, the BJP has forgotten the core promises it had made before 2014. The BJP has done nothing to fulfil them regarding "justice to all and appeasement of none", Uniform Civil Code, abolition of Article 370, rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus in Kashmir, same rights and same laws for all Indian citizens irrespective of their religion etc. etc. These basic pillars had given BJP its distinct identity and enthused its supporters for quite a promising time.

The Raffogars of RSS / BJP are already out there in the field and on the Idiot Box also to defend what is not defensible. Jai Hind!
