Delhi: DAV Public School, Vikas Puri students reunite for mega Alumni meet
The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the reverent Principal, in-charges and the first enrolment of the school followed by the school assembly– prayer and exercises just as the yester years.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Chitra Nakra, Principal V.V Dav Public School, Vikas Puri, the school reunion was organized by the school management in association with D.A.V Unite for all the students who stepped in this school as toddlers and stepped out as leaders.

More than 200 alumni contributed with their presence and actively participated in the entire programme followed by cultural retreat and mentor – alumni interactions, dated 9th March 2014. According to Ms. Alka Obheroi & Ms.Babita Mahajan, the school faculty, “the event was started with the lighting of the lamp by the reverent Principal, Incharges and the very first batch of the school which was further followed by the school assembly –prayer and exercises just as the yester years”.

During her speech, The Principal, Mrs. Chitra Nakra suggested all the Alumni to remain connected with the school by revisiting and reuniting and hence reliving those old memories and days.

Many alumni remembered their past times by entering their old classrooms and sitting on their study desks yet once again. “It was like coming back to home again”, added one of the alumni, Mrs. Taru Singla, 1999 batch. 

The program was followed by dance performances and live songs performed by various students.  The alumni felt honored by coming on the dais and reintroducing themselves while sharing their achievements and their experiences as a former student to DAV. 

Another Alumnus, Mrs. Naina Arora,1992 batch, who is a popular Makeup artist & fashion stylist from South Delhi found the Alumni meet an another chance to interact with the old batch mates and the mentors. She applauds the ideology of DAV In taking its socio responsibility and equality for education. No doubts all credits goes to Mrs. Chitra Nakra and all the school faculties, she added.

The alumni expressed their feelings on the feedback board and firmly resolved to 'revisit, reunite, relive'. It was one of the most cherishable and rejuvenating moment for everyone.
