Delhi gang rape case: Union Home Ministry and Delhi police fail to file counter report before NHRC
The Union Home Ministry and Delhi police have failed to file a counter report in brutal Delhi gang rape case before National Human Rights Commission. A 23-year-old woman was gang raped on a moving bus in New Delhi and then thrown out of the bus along with her male friend on December 16 last year.

Human rights activist Akhand, who is a petitioner, said that, NHRC directed Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs and Commissioner of Police, Delhi to file a report within two weeks. But till date no response has been received from these officials. Again, NHRC has issued reminder to these officials to submit report within two weeks positively.
