Delhi-Gurgaon toll plaza removed; Haryana Govt. wants Khirki Dhaula toll plaza to be removed as well
The removal of the Delhi- Gurgaon Toll Plaza also known as Sirohle Toll Plaza may be a good news for the daily commuters, however the Haryana Government wants both the toll plazas i.e. Sirohle Toll Plaza and Kherki- Dhaula Toll Plaza to be removed. The intention behind the removal of both the toll plazas is to ease the traffic congestion and save time for the daily commuters.

The case of Delhi border toll plaza and the Kherki- Dhaula toll plaza has given sleepless nights to the authorities though the removal of the former is confirmed. Haryana government also want the latter to be removed at the earliest. On the other hand, NHAI (National Highway Authority of India) and the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways have decided to stick to the decision of Delhi High Court and are not willing to play any role in the out-of-court negotiation.

“Removal of the first toll plaza won't solve the issue and clubbing it with Kherki- Dhaula won't bring complete relief to the commuters. Another option is to shift the toll plaza beyond the city limits to Bilaspur and we had also offered financial assistance to NHAI in case of removal of both the toll plazas,'' said Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana, reported The Times of India.

Deepender Singh Hooda, the son of Bhupinder Singh Hooda has also been throwing light on the issue. He said “We are willing to shell out money since our key priority is to save time of the commuters by solving the traffic mess as soon as possible.” However, NHAI and Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways reiterated that there won't be any change in the proposal of IFDC, the lead banker in the project.
