Delhi HC approves removal of Sirhaul toll plaza connecting Delhi-Gurgaon
The Delhi High Court today passed the consent order to remove the Delhi-Gurgaon toll plaza on the Gurgaon expressway at Sirhaul. It is a huge relief for lakhs of commuters, who zip through the toll. Once the toll plaza is removed the tolling will be allowed only at the Kherki Dhaula toll plaza.

The judgment was given by Justice Manmohan Singh. In the judgment he also asked the lead banker Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) to make the payment of its pending liabilities to the present operator Delhi-Gurgaon Super Connectivity Ltd (DGSCL).

One of the official from National Highway Authorities India (NHAI), said that “We have found solution which is win-win one for all parties. But the main focus of the arrangement is the commuters who had been facing major traffic jam on this stretch on regular basis. Traffic passing through Kherki Dhaula plaza will pay the toll for entire stretch.”

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda told Mail Today, “We're doing it for the welfare of the people. It is going to be a reality and will be a big relief for motorists using the busiest national highway in the country.”

Divya Sharma, a MNC employee who travels from Delhi to Gurgaon said, “It's a huge relief for the commuters. I had to wait for long during the peak hours. Now I can reach to my destination earlier and can also save my fuel and money.”
