Delhi reels under Chikungunya, Dengue: CM Kejriwal out for throat surgery, health minister in Goa
At a time when Delhi is reeling under diseases like Chikungunya and Dengue, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's health minister Satyendra Jain is busy preparing for the next year's assembly elections in Goa and the Chief Minister himself is in Bengaluru for throat surgery.

One can see a drastic change in the party's approach towards the crisis. Last year, the same party was very much concerned about the viral diseases that were spreading at a fast pace in the national capital. The Chief Minister himself made surprise visits to the hospital to check the facilities along with his health minister. Kejriwal even hired doctors and nurses on temporary basis to tackle the crisis.

But, this time around not only the CM but the health minister is also missing in action. Earlier this month, health minister Satyendra Jain had gone to Rome, and on Saturday he left for Goa to look after Aam Aadmi Party's preparations for next year's assembly elections. He is busy campaigning in the slums of Panaji and Betim in Goa.

CM Kejriwal is also away for throat surgery in Bengaluru. However, Mr. Kejriwal did not forget to point out that neither he nor his health is left with any power in Delhi and all the powers rest with the LG.

National Capital, always becomes prey to center-state politics. Recently, the US Secretary of State John Kerry opened his address to the IIT Delhi students by jokingly asking them whether they had come to the venue in boats.

But, it's high time that the Aam Adami Party shifts focus from other states, and stays in touch with the state that elected them twice.

Looks Mr. Kejriwal has forgotten what he had said in 2015 while taking oath for the second time. "The last time we won 28 seats and arrogance arose in the party when we decided to contest across the country during the Lok Sabha elections and we lost. I have decided to work only in Delhi for the next five years." Is he doing what he had promised?
