Delhi restaurant Indian Accent bags the title of the best restaurant of India for 2017
Indian Accent, a restaurant famous for serving Indian cuisine with a twist, housed in Delhi's plush 4-star, The Manor Hotel, nestled in the posh Friends Colony locality of the city has been recently named as the best restaurant of India.

The famed restaurant owned by chef Manish Mehrotra was bestowed with the title of being the no.1 restaurant of the country by The World's Best 50 – an online website that rates restaurants around the world, based on food quality, presentation, ambience, diversity and various other parameters.

It's a structure that aims at listing out the best dining places of the world. The academy comprises of 1,000 members, exclusively selected for providing their expert opinions on the international restaurant scene.

The website's official handle, through a series of tweets revealed that Indian Accent had bagged one of the most sought after titles in the business. 

The restaurant serves an elaborate spread of Indian dishes, however, with an innovative touch by amalgamating local ingredients with ingredients from other world cuisines, creating an array of unrivalled dishes with a twist of taste.

 

The restaurant had featured on the same list last year too. Apart from this, Indian Accent was also bestowed with the San Pellegrino Best Restaurant Award in India by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, 2016.


Manish Mehrotra, the brain behind Indian Accent, is a celebrated Indian chef and winner of several awards including Best Chef of 2010 & 2012, HT City Crystal Awards and American Express Best Chef of the year. Mehrotra is the Corporate Chef, Luxury Dining for `Old World Hospitality Pvt Ltd' and heads the kitchens of Indian Accent and Oriental Octopus.
