Delhi to host event on "Women's Economic and Social Rights in India: Exploring New Collaborations and Engagements"
A one-day event on 'Women's Economic and Social Rights in India: Exploring New Collaborations and Engagements' by Harvard University South Asia Institute (SAI) is going to be held on December 22 in New Delhi.

The event will feature the outcomes of an eighteen month project on 'Livelihood Creation in India' as a collaboration between the Tata Trusts and SAI, inform the organizers.

Late evening the release of the following publications will take place: Triggering Success: Innovative Interventions to promote educational access in India; Interrogating the Norm: Innovative interventions to promote gender justice and safety in India; and Empowering Home-based Workers in India: Solutions and Strategies.

Also, sessions providing update and overviews on Recent Project and Research Development and Presentations by featured organizations will be organized. A keynote address and release of publications by chief guest Padma Bhushan Dr Ela Bhatt, Founder, SEWA, will be done.

A brief showcase of the organisations involved in studies will be done during the event. The will be a panel of representatives from each organization who will to respond to a question about their work regarding contribution to strengthening the rights and opportunities for women/adolescents and its role in promoting gender justice or access to education.
