The locals in New Delhi slammed the government for its decision to hike price of CNG as it is going to place extra financial burden on them during the time of high inflation.
The hike of rupees 3.70 per kilogram with effect from September 9, came close on the heels of the petrol and diesel price hike. Unhappy with this hike, residents lined up at CNG stations in various parts of the National Capital to fill their tanks under the revised rates.
The residents are complaining the government, saying that 'government have hiked the price on CNG, everything is becoming expensive today. The common man is finding it difficult to live easily. The government is keeping the fund with them and give the public nothing. They are taxing everything and hiking the petrol, LPG and CNG,' reported ANI.
The common man is asking the government for the explanation on the reason behind the hike in the CNG rates, as this is the second time when the CNG rates have been raised in the past two months. CNG which is a natural gas and is not being exported. It is made my Indian companies, so why the rate on gas is being raised?
The last time CNG prices were hiked was on June 25 when rates went up by Rs.2 per kg. While CNG price in Delhi has been hiked by Rs.3.70 per kg, the same will go up in cities on the outskirts of Delhi like Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad by Rs.4.20 per kg.
