Dell announces Streak: Will it over take Apple iPad?
The device features a 5 inch screen, has integrated Google Maps with turn-by-turn navigator, street and satellite views. Its specifications include a high resolution camera of 5MP, built in Wi-Fi, 3G, front-facing camera, Bluetooth connectivity.
WITH THE launch of Streak, Dell will become the first major electronics maker to take on the Apple’s iPad with a device that has Google Inc’s Android as operating system, which is a common OS on the smartphones. Google, on the other hand, is shaking hands with a US based phone carrier Verizon to launch a tablet. HP is also expected to announce a tablet computer soon. It will work on WebOS operating system that was acquired by HP when it took over Palm Company last month.
