THE UPPER house of the Parliament, Rajya Sabha has desired that it should also be made a participant in the Lok Sabha TV broadcast, thereby turning it to be Sansad TV. The costly 24 hours channel currently does not have an appreciable viewership, in terms of investment and expenses made on it.

In fact, this demand to turn into a channel for the entire parliament, coupled with a new look and effective utilisation of resources available with Lok Sabha TV, can actually help in making it more successful. Such a channel would automatically gain viewers interested in the dealings of the entire legislature as well as more content.

At the same time, news related to the Parliament and the channel’s segment Sansad Samachar could be telecast on Doordarshan. This would ensure that the proceedings of the legislature, supported by video clippings, could be part of the wider news dissemination process.

.Lok Sabha Tv is a wonderful c=hannel and is a efficient tool to broaden one's horizon.However it takes time to appreciate its beauty.I feel the youth should watch this channel as this channel regularily holds discussions on issus like culture,economic env and interviews of eminent personalities.
