Denmark' capital city Copenhagen ranked top tourist destination
Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark, with its small portion on Amager side touching Sweden, has a lot of sightseeing places along with modern housing and businesses along the five urban railway routes stretching out from the city centre, says a friend who is visiting Europe and has posted the images on Facebook.

The city almost seems to be integrated with the Swedish province of Scania and its largest city Malmo. It attracts a lot of tourists from Sweden and other European countries, he says.

The city has a number of bridges and the cityscape is characterised by parks, promenades and waterfronts. The places worthseeing are the Tivoli Gardens, The Little Mermaid statue, the Amalienborg and Christiansborg palaces, Rosenborg Castle Gardens, Frederik's Church, and many museums.

For those who come to relax go to spas, restaurants and nightclubs along with visiting a huge lake half-an-hour drive from the city.

Amager Strandpark is a 2 km long artificial island, with a few beaches.  About 10 kilometers from downtown Copenhagen is Bellevue Beach with lifeguards and freshwater showers on the beach. However, Islands Brygge and has won international acclaim for its design which remains crowded.

Tourism is a major contributor to Copenhagen's economy, attracting visitors due to the city's harbour, cultural attractions and award-winning restaurants. Currently, it is attracting a lot of Chinese visitors. In 2019 Copenhagen was ranked first among Lonely Planet's top ten cities to visit.
