The Chief Guest was Mr. Satish Kaul, an eminent Punjabi film industry personality, who presided over the valedictory function and gave away prizes to the winners. He lauded the initiative of Desh Bhagat Group in organizing such a mega event for school students and providing them an opportunity to develop and bring out their latent abilities. Such programmes, he said, are as essential to the all-round development of the personalities of the students as other academic activities.
Earlier, while inaugurating the festival, Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman of the Desh Bhagat Group in his address averred that Desh Bhagat Institutes organized such functions on a regular basis and provided the much needed platform to the youth of the area for developing and showcasing their talents in a highly congenial and healthy atmosphere.
Welcoming the Chief Guest, other guests and participating teams, Desh Bhagat Group Vice Chairperson Mrs. Tejinder Kaur said that the aim of this festival was to channelize the energies of young students in constructive activities and inculcate in them a spirit of healthy competition.
Dr. Shalini Gupta, Director General of Desh Bhagat Group proposed a vote of thanks on the occasion and expressed her delight at the overwhelming response the festival had received from different schools. She thanked the participants for their wholehearted cooperation and hoped that in future too, they will benefit from the opportunities Desh Bhagat Institutes offered them.
The individual winners in different events were Green Grover School, Khanna First and Sohrab Public School, runners up, for Music & Dance Items. In Literary Items Green Grover School, Khanna came first where as Neta ji Model School was declared runners up and Govt. Senior Secondary School Bhadson came runners up. Govt. Senior Secondary School Bhadson was declared winners and GTB School Khanna runners up in the Sports event.
