BOLLYWOOD'S “DEV.D” has made it to the prestigious “CPH PIX Feature Film Festival” of Copenhagen (Denmark) that will be held from April 15 to 25.
Festival site describes it as one of the best Bollywood films in the past years. Shot in Chandigarh, London, Manali, and Delhi, this romantic drama is a modern day retake on Saratchandra’s classic novel “Devdas”, which has already been adapted into various films earlier. The cast includes Abhay Deol, Mahie Gill, Kalki Koechlin, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, its music is by Amit Trivedi, cinematography by Rajeev Ravi, and editing by Aarti Bajaj.
Jacob Neiiendam , the festival director said that CPH PIX aims to bring people together to watch good films from all over the world,films that are original, thought-provoking, funny and controversial and those not found in regular cinema programmes. The festival will present 170 features films from around the globe this year and about 37,000 participated in the last Festival.
Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed has criticized Government of India and various Indian film bodies for not doing enough to promote quality Indian films internationally and provide them exposure in the world markets. At nevada(USA), Zed, the chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation stated that India’s vast film talent needs encouragement and support urgently.
