Develop better software to avoid irrational preparation of final voter list
Every year Election Commission does the revision of the electoral rolls, still the final list is published with errors. There is general complaint from the staff which does the updation work of the voter list that the software provided is not up to the mark to avoid errors.
If that's the problem, then the Election Commission should
develop a new software, so that, grievances related to missing names
etc are redressed and no voter will knock the doors of the Courts.
With related to the irregularities in the voter list there has
been big hue and cry all over the country during this general
elections. In Telangana State the Greater Hyderabad
Corporation elections are to be held in the month of November this
year and the Commissioner has promised to update the database and try
to bring out error free voter list.
In this context it is requested that, the Commissioner should go
for a development of new software. First step is that all the voters
should be brought house number wise series, for example 12-2. Then
separate it like 12-2-1 till the end and allot polling booths for
every thousand voters. If this methodology is adopted properly the
voter need not run pillar to post in search of their names, polling
booth and cast vote.
It is also requested after the publication of the draft rolls,
there should be an appeal to update the details of the voters as per
the municipal house number where he/she resides. The cooperation of
the Resident Welfare Associations should sought during this period to
avoid discrepancies in the final list.
Hope that, the suggestion will be taken into consideration and non
jumbled and final voter list with lesser errors with be published
