Development of villages and rural areas priority of Himachal govt: Virbhadra Singh
Himachal Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing a massive public meeting at Bharmad, in Jawali Assembly constituency said that the purpose of his winter sojourn in Kangra and other constituencies was to ensure and inspect whether the development works or schemes were being implemented in a proper manner or not.
I get a chance to meet the people and know better about their grievances, he said, adding that it was due to proper planning and policies of the successive Congress Governments that Himachal Pradesh treaded fast on path of progress and was today the model of developed Hill State in the Country.

He said that t was a matter of pride that the State was ranked first amongst the best big state in field of education and inclusive growth in a recent survey.

Virbhadra Singh said that development of villages and rural areas was the priority of the State Government. He said that today the people were far better economically in rural areas than before. The shifting pattern of cropping, growing off season vegetables, floriculture, has strengthened the rural economy, he added.

He praised the efforts of former minister, Chander Kumar for devoting his time for the development of the constituency and exhorted Chief Parliamentary Secretary Neeraj Bharti for working in the same manner and serve the people voluntarily.

Chief Minister inaugurated Community Health Centre at Jawali from 30 bed hospital to 50 bedded Civil Hospital. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) building at Hadsar completed with an outlay of Rs. 1.04 crore, inaugurated Primary Health Centre (PHC) building along-with residential accommodation at Durana completed with an outlay of Rs.55.16 lakh and inaugurated additional block of GSSS, Daroka at Bariaal completed with an outlay of Rs.52 lakh.

The Chief Minister also dedicated Rs. 2.65 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme, Nagrota-Surian at Suknada village of Jawali, which would benefit estimated population of around 15,000 by the year 2030.
