DHBVN lacks manpower to deal with the increasing power failure in Gurgaon
Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) maintains that the lack of manpower has reflected in the poor power supply. There is a serious need of around 1500 people in Gurgaon, but only comprises of 500, which seems to be a major problem in carrying out the required work of checking upon the faults.

If the issue is not looked into right now, then the problem is only going to multiply, The last sanction for appointments took place three decades ago, which is not fair, for the population of Gurgaon that has been increasing rapidly over the last few years. In the last decade, with Gurgaon facing huge developments, people are looking upon Gurgaon as a good place to reside, but such things like power supply still remains a huge drawback.

"The number of consumers in the radius of the operation circle at that point of time was barely one lakh, with only one or two substations required for supply. Now we have almost 4.5 lakh consumers and no corresponding increase in the manpower," said Sanjeev Chopra, the general manager of DHBVN, reported The Times of India.

The situation is getting dimmer and dimmer for the people in Gurgaon, as temperatures have been soaring high, which makes life difficult for Gurgaonites with such power supply. As a result of which Gurgaon residents have been making regular complaints, but still it has not been of any good help.

With monsoons approaching as well, the issue has to be dealt instantly, else the problem is going to remain the same, as breakdown and faults are a common phenomenon not only in Gurgaon, but also other parts of India.
