Dhoni and Kohli frustrate England but India still 33 runs behind
At the end of the day three of the 4th and last Test match, India managed to get into a stable position as Captain Dhoni and Vice Captain Virat Kohli, through their partnership of 198, brought India to 297 for 8 wickets at the end of the day. Kohli went to pavilion at 103 and Dhoni was unlucky to complete his century and got run out at 99. India still needs to cover England's remaining lead of 33 runs.

CAPTAIN MS DHONI and Vice-Captain Virat Kohli put an all out effort to save the self respect of the Indian cricket team, which even in the last Tests, was under severe threat - after the team loost 4 quick wickets on day 2. Arrving at a time when the score was 71 for 4, Dhoni and Kohli took responsibility and took the scorecard to 269 together in a fighting partnership.

After letting English players run around the field throughout the day Virat Kohli fall prey to Swann in front of the wicket at the score of 103 and thus the 5th wicket partnership of 198 came to an end. He was given lbw even though he had an edge from his bat, and this was the second wrong decision from umpires. After the fall of Kohli at 269 débutante Ravinder Jadeja did not spend too much time with Dhoni and departed at only 12 in his first Test match and R Ashwin came to the crease.

But shock of the day for Indian cricket lovers was when Dhoni got run out at 99 by a direct hit from Captain Cook. Dismissal of Dhoni at 99 was a close call for third umpire and he was given out finding his bat on the line when bails were off the stumps.

The day was about to finish when Piyush Chawla also bowled by Swann and after a real hard work throughout the day England team returned satisfied without letting India take a lead.

With India at 297 for 8 wickets, Ashwin is the only hope. Already three days are over and in just two days the Indian team has to play for win, and has to put extra effort to first take off the lead and bowl out England within very limited score tomorrow.

England, who only have to draw the match to win a series, if it manages to cross 250 or 300 on the fourth day then it would be difficult for the Indian squad to overcome the losses on last day to score 300 or more on a difficult pitch - with more turn for Panesar and Swann - who have already proved to be nightmares for Team India.

After loosing the last two Test matches, India simply can't afford to loose this one and if they want to draw a series they have to win this one, only drawing this match wouldn't work.
