Dhoni turns the table on Saurav - Chennai Super Kings beat the Pune Warriors
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings remained unruffled when his team managed to score only 164-runs against the Pune Warriors - it was admittedly less than what he would..

BUT THIS is cricket – especially the T-20 variety which is the shortest version and which has, over the years, captured the imagination of millions of fans worldwide.

Sent in to bat first, the CSK made a slow but steady start and the openers posted a 100-run partnership and then, just when everyone expected the CSK batsmen to begin the onslaught, but things began to crumble.

The CSK lost three quick wickets - 2 of them belonging to Faf du Plessis and Badrinath, the openers, were taken by Marlon Samuels at the score of 116 and the 3rd of Suresh Raina was taken by Ashish Nehra at the score of 119. Raina failed to open his account.

That put Dhoni on the back-foot but, still he along with Dwayne Bravo managed to notch up 164 for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs – the CSK hit 5 sixes.

However, when the Pune Warriors took to the field, they expected to sail through quite easily because the asking rate was within reasonable limits – but, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

The Pune Warriors team captained by Sourav Ganguly finally lost by 13 runs – they could manage to hit only two sixes.

But – Pune Warriors are ahead of the Chennai Super Kings in the league table because of a better run rate – both have played 6 games and have earned 6 points each but run rate of PW is +0.174 while that of CSK is +0.024.
