Diet to boost your energy and make you active
The food you eat affects the metabolism of your body, so your diet can influence the health in various ways and most importantly your energy levels as well. Usually foods that contain carbohydrates burn slowly and are considered to be best, as it provides stable amount of energy to the body. So, if you are feeling low on energy, here are a list of foods, which will boost your energy and make you active.

Water – Dehydration can make you feel sluggish, so drink lots of water, as it will keep the body cells hydrated and helps in working at a optimum level.

Beans and lentils – Beans and lentils are low in fat and calories, except for soybean, but are rich in proteins, carbohydrates, potassium, Vitamin B and iron, which gives a burst in energy level.

Spinach – It is a great energy food and is high in iron content. Spinach keeps you healthy, strong and energetic.

Banana – It is an excellent post work out recovery food item. Banana is a simple carbohydrate but an instant energy source. They are also an excellent source of potassium, the sugar found in banana can be digested quickly and converted right away into energy for your body.

Nuts – Cashews, almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts are high in magnesium, which play a key role in converting sugar to energy. They are also filled with fiber to keep your blood sugar levels even and protein to stave off hunger.

Dark Chocolate – Nibbling a square of dark chocolate as a post lunch dessert is good for you. It contains the natural stimulant, thio-bromine, which is similar to caffeine, which boosts the energy and your mood.

Oats – Oats contains slow-burning carbohydrates, which helps in providing a constant stream of energy to the body. It is rich in Vitamin B and keeps your body alert.
