The fact that different government labs can give diametrically opposite verdict on the same piece of evidence indicates that it was political intervention that made the difference. The only other conclusion is that one of the labs is incompetent.
STRICT ACTION should be taken against the persons in Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) Delhi whose findings on the controversial CD allegedly carrying conversation between Senior Supreme Court Advocate Shanti Bhushan (member of Joint Drafting Committee for Lokpal Bill) and Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Mulayamsingh Yadav, are now contradicted by CFSL Chandigarh.
Even a layman without requiring any laboratory findings could easily detect ‘cut-and-paste’ tactics adopted in preparing the doctored CD as was instantly proved by the reliable Truth Laboratory (Hyderabad) and another one in America. It may also be possible that the conspiring people at CFSL Delhi might have leaked their deliberately-prepared wrong reports to some media persons. Therefore, apart from sacking responsible ones from the job, criminal proceedings under various provisions of Indian Penal Code should also be initiated against the culprits at CFSL Delhi.
If our evidence analyzing agencies can't act apolitically then proving someone innocent or guitly is impossible. But being in Delhi, CFSL Delhi, must have been put under some sort of political pressure to tilt its verdict in a certain direction. As a result, a lot of drama ensued in the country over the 'doctored' CDs. At least, now, some light has been shed on the issue and the matter is more or less resolved.
