Dilli Haat: Showcasing regional food and handicrafts
Dilli Haat has various stalls allocated to different states, which are set up as per the theme and lifestyle of the state. The themes also keeps on changing every fortnight. The states showcase their culture and identity through these themes.
AS ONE looks at the INA market in Delhi, the next second he turns around and is able to see a mini India called ‘Dilli Haat. Though its name starts with the Indian capital ‘Delhi’, the Haat truly represents the nation as it has stalls selling handicrafts and foods from all the Indian states and Union territories.
 
Dilli Haat is an initiative by the Travel and Tourism Ministry of India. The cost of entry ticket for an adult is Rs 15 and for a child it is Rs 5. The tickets are economical and worth the price,  as there is so much to see inside the Haat.
 
Dilli Haat has various stalls allocated to different states, which are set up as per the theme and lifestyle of the state. The themes also keeps on changing every fortnight. The states showcase their culture by bringing items,  which are specially crafted and hand made. They are unique and it is difficult to find them anywhere else.
 
Dilli Haat is considered to be a little expensive, but if one is good at bargaining, he can spin the prices to a favourable point.
Every Indian state has set a food pavilion here and these are serving famous regional dishes. This place is a hub for all age groups. Recently, Dilli Haat opened its another branch in Pitampura in West Delhi.
