Dissolve ego for self-awakening: A non-poem
Most spiritual discourses consider ego as the main barrier in the path of self-realization which is advised to be shun or dissolved.

It is often held that ego arises due to strong identification of oneself with gains related to mind, senses, body, and intellect leading to distancing of oneself from true inner self or divinity.

Also, some people pick up a few words from scriptures and get into the trap of most dangerous ego called 'spiritual ego' to get control on their followers and amass wealth and material comforts.

The ego and ego-less existence called true self or soul are poles apart. When one gets ego-less and is no more trapped by I-Me-Mine confine, the spiritual awakening happens.

The unconsciously formed ego through worldly experiences at home and in societal institutions enslaves our mind hand hinders our spiritual progress.

Here is a non-poem that dwells on ego dissolution as way to self-awakening.

Dissolve your ego

That binds you to selfishness

That breeds desires endlessly

That devalues others

That self-glorifies.

~*~

Ego is ignorance

That makes you cocky

That creates a sense of finitude

That shackles you to your swollen head

That veils your true reality.

~*~

Dissolve your ego

Now and here

Get rid of sense of finitude

This very moment

Free yourself

From the body-senses-mind cage

From I-Me-Mine confine

To get into the realm of limitless self

To attain self-realisation.

~*~

End your ego

In one stroke and ever

To be free, liberated

To become medium of motiveless actions

To live as limitless and eternal spirit.
