Diwali festival is here. It is the most widely celebrated Indian festival and commonly known as the festival of lights. Besides sweets, new clothes, Lakshmi Puja, decoration with festival lights, exchange of greetings and SMSes has also become common on the occasion.

PRIOR TO Diwali, people clean and decorate their homes with lights, diyas and rangoli pattern in the courtyard and in front of the gate. Traditionally, the doors of many homes are decorated with a string of flowers and mango leaves.
