Do not mislead the nation Mr. Prime Minister: Narendra Modi
The Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi has accused Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh that he is misleading the country on the issue of travel expenses on the various foreign trips undertaken by the Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

ACCORDING TO the news agency ANI, Narendra Modi in a public rally at Jamnagar quoted some figures received in response to a RTI application, and said that Manmohan Singh had no right to mislead the nation.

“I want to expose it. Prime Minister, you are misleading the country. I want answers from you as a citizen of India. You have no right to mislead the nation,” said Narendra Modi.

Modi while addressing the massive election rally, named the countries and disclosed some expense figures born by the various Indian embassies during the visit of Sonia Gandhi to these countries.

“India's foreign ministry has revealed this information on RTI request. When Sonia Gandhi went to Johannesburg expenditure by the embassy was Rs. 14,06,650. After that on 3rd October 2007, she went to London then the expediture was Rs. 2,42,913. After that on 15th march 2011 she again went to London, the expenditure then was Rs. 35,81,740,” said Narendra Modi while quoting the RTI reply.

Modi blasted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the day when the PMO came up with its response that no public money was spent on foreign trips by Sonia Gandhi. Notably Modi, on the basis of media reports, has alleged that the central government has spent Rs. 1,880 crore rupees on various foreign trips and treatment of the Sonia Gandhi.

The battle between Narendra Modi and Sonia Gandhi in the wake of upcoming Gujarat assembly elections has intensified with Modi making new claims everyday.
