Modi while addressing the massive election rally, named the countries and disclosed some expense figures born by the various Indian embassies during the visit of Sonia Gandhi to these countries.
“India's foreign ministry has revealed this information on RTI request. When Sonia Gandhi went to Johannesburg expenditure by the embassy was Rs. 14,06,650. After that on 3rd October 2007, she went to London then the expediture was Rs. 2,42,913. After that on 15th march 2011 she again went to London, the expenditure then was Rs. 35,81,740,” said Narendra Modi while quoting the RTI reply.
Modi blasted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the day when the PMO came up with its response that no public money was spent on foreign trips by Sonia Gandhi. Notably Modi, on the basis of media reports, has alleged that the central government has spent Rs. 1,880 crore rupees on various foreign trips and treatment of the Sonia Gandhi.
The battle between Narendra Modi and Sonia Gandhi in the wake of upcoming Gujarat assembly elections has intensified with Modi making new claims everyday.
