Double bonanza: Virat Kohli and Team India at top spot in Test cricket
Well, the splendid win in the backyard of otherwise cricket supremos Australia in both the series by the Indian cricket team under the dynamic leadership of vibrant and ever energetic Virat Kohli has paid off well.

The millions of diehard fans of Indian cricket are happy to note that now Virat Kohli and Team India lead the way in the ICC world rankings. This has become possible with the excellent contribution of the players of Team India, especially veteran MS Dhoni in the ODIs, duly supported by the hard working batsmen and the never tiring bowlers.

Now Team India is holding the pole position in the Test rankings by securing 116 points. Likewise, Indian captain Virat Kohli has accumulated 922 points and is proudly standing at the top spot in Test cricket batting rankings. He is far ahead of nearest rival Kane Williamson by a huge margin of 25 points.

Also another star batsman of the team India Cheteshwar Pujara is ranked third among the batsmen closely followed by another upcoming shining star Rishab Pant, who has been able to grab his career best 17th rank.

Among the bowlers although South African Kagiso Rabada is at the top but India's Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have also secured fifth and ninth position respectively.

Also the young Indian fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah has climbed up the ladder to reach 15th spot having a total of 711 points. Indian ODI players are likely to stay put among the top rankers despite the expected tough competition in New Zealand.

Incidentally Kohli on Tuesday, became the first ever cricketer to bag Test and ODI ICC award along with the honour of being chosen the Captain of the World body's all-star team. This 30-year-old dynamic and committed cricketer is expected to lead Indian cricket to new heights during the years to come.
