Dr Radhakrishnan: People's teacher
Teachers' Day is celebrated as a mark of complete tribute for their guidance, hard work and services towards the students. It is a time for the teachers and students to pledge that the duo would march together to build a progressive society.
EVERY YEAR September 5, is celebrated as Teachers' Day to celebrate the contributions made by the teachers across India. September 5 is the birthday of a great teacher Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, scholar, President of India and above all a teacher. Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan did not only teach his students but also inspired them.

The role of a teacher is very valuable in transforming the society. Teachers are said to be the friend, philosopher and guide to their students. Without their help and guidance, students cannot acquire knowledge and be successful in life. The task of teaching is very interesting and challenging. Teachers have to face new challenges every other day.

Teachers' Day is a complete tribute to the teachers for their guidance, hard work and services towards the students. It is a time for the teachers and students to pledge that the duo  would march together to build a progressive society. Teachers are known to be the second parents as they help in molding a child's future and also determine the future of society.

Teachers' Day is the ceremonial function to show gratitude towards our teachers for their contribution in moulding the shape and future of the students.
