Dracula in Madhya Pradesh: Husband drank wife's blood
In a unique case a husband drank wife's blood for three long years, when finally the wife decided to protest against it. The authorities however, were not of much help to this poor woman who suffered at the hands of her own husband.

A WIFE had to undergo the cruel torture at the hands of her husband who used to relish and feast on her blood. The couple in Madhya Pradesh is said to have been married for 3 years, and he started drinking her blood few months after marriage. The wife, who finally broke her silence, initially, got no support from any Police station against such a heinous crime.

The wife, Deepa Ahirwar, who is only 22 years old, told police that her husband used to drink her blood by drawing it with the help of a syringe. She further added, “He would then empty it in a glass and drink it. For three years he did this on a regular basis, threatening me of dire consequences if I revealed this to anyone."

Mahesh Ahirwar, from Shikarpura village in Bhopal, was married to Deepa in 2007 and after a few months of marriage he started with this torture. He even threatened her of dire consequences if she ever let the secret out.

The man, who is probably not right in his mind, used to say that her blood made him strong and did not stop even when the poor lady was pregnant.

After giving birth to a son when he continued with this daily ritual, Deepa started feeling faint and nauseated and started resisting the act but to no avail as he started beating her up. When she had  enough, the girl escaped from her house and took refuge at her father’s place. After hearing of her daughter’s woes the father took Deepa to the local police station to register a case against her husband Mahesh. But since the place was under a different jurisdiction, they did not take up the case.

Assisted by her parents, Deepa took the matter to a police station in Hindoriya where she used to stay with her husband but even they did not register the case. But after the resident of the Shikarpura village came to know of her plight they took up the case and finally the police decided to take up her cause against the husband who is absconding.
