Dreaded criminal arrested in Delhi after encounter

A NOTORIOUS gangster was arrested by Delhi police on Wednesday (August 5), in North West Delhi's Rohini locality after an hour long gun battle. Sandeep Kosania was arrested after he was cornered in a flat in Sector-25 by Delhi police and members of Special Staff of North West district.
Acting on a tipoff that Sandeep, a dreaded criminal was present in flat in Rohini, an elaborate trap was laid by special staff police officials. When the gangster was asked to surrender, he reportedly started firing, which was effectively retaliated by the police men, who fired 9 rounds.
Sandeep is wanted criminal and his name figures in a double murder as well as numerous criminal and extortion cases across Delhi. Police had also announced a reward of Rs 25000 to anyone who gave information about his whereabouts.
Police said that despite the firing, no one was injured or killed as they took maximum precaution to ensure there was no panic in Rohini, a residential area.
