Delhi University has announced its second cut off list, which the students have been waiting for, after high cut offs in the first list. They realised the second list does not do any justice in spite of scoring good marks as most of the seats are already
STUDENTS VYING for seats in Delhi University faced disappointment during the first cut off list that came out few days ago. With the declaration of the second list, the students were expecting to get admission in colleges of their choice. But, there is bad news for many students as there are not many vacant seats in top ranked colleges of DU as it has already been taken up by students clearing the first list.

The cut off (100%) laid down by SRCC for the non commerce students had come as a heart breaking news for all and sundry. It was an indirect way of saying ‘no thanks’ to students from other departments as one cannot score 100 percent during their examinations. The bench mark had already been set.
One of the most popular courses in DU, B.Com (H) admissions have been closed in several colleges like Hindu, SRCC, Miranda house etc. Ten colleges have shut down their admission for B.Com (H). The second cut off has not seen major changes in the mark cut off as most of the colleges have only reduced it by 1- 1.25 per cent in popular courses such as Economics (H). For the science students things look a bit better as there has been a reduction of 1-3% in top colleges of DU. This time around Miranda has been a favourite destination for girls, as they have closed admissions for many honours courses such as Political Science, Economics, Physics, History etc.The third list is expected to come out in the near future for those candidates who fail to make it in the second list too. But, will there be any seats left for those students? Most students across Delhi fear for not getting admission of their liking due to the present cut-offs.
