The Dubai Shopping festival 2010 (DSF) starts from January 28 and will last for a month. The 15th Dubai Shopping Festival will have around 6,000 retailers showcasing their products out of which 60% would be gold and jewellery retailers.

The great shopping festival will end on February 28, 2010.The main attraction and best buy would be gold and and new designed jewellery. There would be great discounts, promotional offers, deals, bargains at the Dubai Shopping Festival 2010.

Mohammad Kamali, Marketing Head of Events and Promotions Establishment said that most customers, mainly Indians are interested in buying gold, availing huge discounts and offers.He further added that India and GCC were their main markets and they expect a 10 percent increase in Indian visitors.

The 15th Dubai Shopping Festival will have around 6,000 retailers showcasing their products out of which 60% would be gold and jewellery retailers. The shopping festival of Dubai is expected to make a turnover of $2.67 billion in spite of economic slowdown and recession.

In the Dubai Shopping Festival 2008, around 3.35 million visitors had spent 9.8 billion Arab Emirates Dirham. (1 Arab Emirates Dirham is equal to approx 12 Indian Rupees)

The good news is that more than 150 international and regional events would be held this year. There would be many cash prizes along with 36 Lexus Luxury cars, 43 Nissan cars worth a total of Rs.25 crore.

The highlight of the Dubai Shopping Festival 2010 would be live performances by international artists like Zakir Hussain and Sean Kingston. Even plays like Blood Brothers and Ben 10, a popular cartoon hero will be staged.

The main attraction at the Dubai Festival 2010 will be the Dubai International Jazz festival which would have live band performances. The Brand New Heavies, Jane Monheit, Lao Tizer, David Gray and James Morrisson will also be performing at the DSF 2010.

For health and fitness conscious people, the Dubai Festival will have a weight loss conference. The Fashion festival event will be a treat for all fashion enthusiasts.The mouth watering food festival will have the best of regional and international cuisines.

Lastly, the Global Village, a premier shopping and cultural destination will have particiaption from over 45 cultures and around 6000 cultural performances and shows. People can also witness Chinese Flying Poles, The Waterway of Lights, the Art of Fire and Human Canonball.
