THE DELHI University Non-Collegiate Women Education Board released its first cut-off on Thursday, June 23. With 73 per cent for BA program and 75 per cent for B.Com program, Hansraj College Centre similar to last year, this time, too, tops the 13 featured centres.

The weekend classes at the centres for BA and B.Com program have seen a rise of 3-4 per cent this year as compared to last year’s cut off. The admission procedure will commence from June 27 at Hansraj collage and Lakshmibai College.
Dr. Arti Saxena, a prominent member of the board said that this year they have 5,000 seats available for the BA and B.Com courses and hence approximately 21,000 forms will be out for sale. She also added that only those students who can meet the requirement of 66 per cent attendance should apply.She further added that, according the Non-Collegiate Education Board fifty classes are taken every year and it is mandatory for the students to attend those classes. Every year many students are denied their examination roll numbers due to short attendance. Because as per the rules of the board, each absence from the class leads to the deduction of 2 per cent in total attendance. On the basis of the first cut-off, the admission process will begin from June 27 and the second cut-off will be released on July 8. With high cut-off in regular colleges many students this year are opting for Non-Collegiate centres.This year, Hansraj College has hiked its cut off by 3 to 4 per cent for BA and B.Com courses when compared with last year. However, other college shad hiked their cut off by barely 1 per cent. Colleges falling under the Non-Collegiate Board include Hansraj College, Lakshmibai College, Kalindi, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Bharati Modern Buildings, St Margaret School, PGDAV, Jesus and Mary College, Jananki Devi Memorial, Mata Sundari College, Bharati College and Maitreyi College.
