Earth Hour is few hours away; WWF encourages netizens to use official hashtags to register support
In India, with Earth Hour being celebrated from 20.30 hrs to 21.30 hrs, the coordinating agency World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has urged netizens to use hashtags #EarthHourPH2017 and #ChangeClimateChange to register their support for climate change campaign.

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by WWF is meant to encourage individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. as a symbol for their commitment to the planet. The movement that started in Sydney in 2007 has spread to more than 7000 cities and towns worldwide.

"Earth Hour is a people's movement inspiring individuals from more than 7000 cities across the globe to take a stand against climate change, making it the largest voluntary movement ever witnessed in history," informs WWF.

With hype created around the event, Earth Hour has become the 'world's largest, environmental grassroots movement in history, connecting hundreds of millions of people all over the planet'.
