The traffic infested streets and chilly monsoon winds didn't dither the pub goers of Bangalore from heading towards Kyra Theater on a busy Wednesday evening. The reason - a revival of Rock music by the band - Eastern Fare.
AN ORDINARY Wednesday evening turned to be quite eventful at Kyra Theater! On June 23, 2010, when the Bangalore based Acoustic Rock Band Eastern Fare took the stage, it took its audience on a time travel to the days of Morrison, CCR, White Snake and Pink Floyd.
Faheeda Fahad, the female vocalist of Eastern Fare performed some Guns n Roses, Mellisa Etheridge and Cranberries numbers with great élan. This was followed by her fellow vocalist Siddharth Tanti making the audience groove to covers like Have you ever seen the rain by CCR, Wine Women and Song by White Snake and Time by Pink Floyd. The audience also particularly enjoyed their original Score of the band - Least Liked Best. Within barely twelve months of its nascence, Eastern Fare has carved itself a niche in the music circuit of Bangalore, having performed in some of the most happening venues of the city. With noted Assamese musician Jim Ankan on the lead guitar, Suchin Ravi on rhythm, Sharan on the drums, Anand PM on Bass and keys and Siddharth and Faheeda on the vocals, the band kept raising the bar for themselves with every succeeding number and gig.
Although a relatively new band in the competitive music scenario of India, Eastern Fare, an acoustic rock band has managed to create and hold a significant place for itself, thanks to their distinctive style and flair.
