EasyCabs: A new radio taxi service launched in Mumbai
Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Kr Vij, CEO, Carzonrent said, 'Carzonrent has been offering Car Rental Services in Mumbai for the last 10 years and so the city is not new to us and we are not new to the traveller population of Mumbai.
CARZONRENT, India’s number one personal ground transportation company having the largest fleet of cars in the country, today launched its Radio Taxi Services, under the brand name of EasyCabs, in Mumbai. All EasyCabs, which are available by calling on a simple number 43434343, are equipped with GPS, GPRS tracking, Mobile Data Terminals, In-car credit card payment option, Digital Meters, Wet tissues, newspaper and many other features. They will be driven by very carefully selected and trained drivers to provide a safe and comfortable experience to the traveler.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Kr Vij, CEO, Carzonrent said, “Carzonrent has been offering Car Rental Services in Mumbai for the last 10 years and so the city is not new to us and we are not new to the traveller population of Mumbai. Furthering our presence in Mumbai market now, with the launch of our EasyCabs Radio Taxi Services, we are ready to offer taxi users of Mumbai the unparallel experience offering convenient, comfortable, cost effective, efficient and safe Services. Our role is to support the efforts of Maharashtra Government to improve the transportation infrastructure in Mumbai”
“We would like Mumbaikars to experience our services before they take their decision on making EasyCabs their preferred ride in the city. We are, therefore offering 300 free rides within the city limits of Mumbai everyday for the first 3 days of our service- 18th to 20th March’2010 for bookings made through our call centre at 43434343.” he further added.

 
Satish Shastrabudhe, Jt. Transport Commissioner, Govt. of Maharashtra launched the Radio Taxi Service by flagging-off a fleet of EasyCabs 43434343, today at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai. He said, ”Mumbai is a 24X7 city that never sleeps and we welcome EasyCabs as their services will help the Administration to offer safer and comfortable rides and reduce traffic congestion in the city”
The services will be provided 24x7 in Mumbai by a dedicated call center.

 
The customers can call 43434343 to book the Radio Taxi, or logon on the site or simply SMS to 53030 to make a booking. EasyCabs call centre will locate the taxi closest to the pickup location through real time GPRS screen and instruct the EasyCabs online to pick up the client. Also the client will be billed from the point of pick up till the drop point and the billing will be at a current rate of Rs 14/- per km.

Additionally, all chauffeurs will be in uniform and will be conversant in local languages for passenger comfort. “Each Chauffeur has been appointed after careful scrutiny and verification of his credentials. All Chauffeurs have gone through training sessions and are committed to delivering a very different and pleasant taxi experience to the residents and travelers to our Mumbai region. We will make sure that the commuters experience with EasyCabs remains pleasant and constant each time they commute” added Vij. EasyCabs 43434343 is a dominant Radio Taxi player in India market having operations in Delhi, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Hyderabad is now also present in Mumbai.
