Society of Automotive Engineers and Gautam Buddha University (GBU) in Noida is bringing up a world class event favoring Go Green Concept i.e. Eco Kart 2014 held from 5th - 7th February. The event will be inaugurated by JP Sharma, V-C, Gautam Buddha University.
The guest of honour includes Alok Lange (Lieutenant Commander, Indian Navy), GV Reddy (Director of Vigilance, Ministry of Railway). During the event officials from HONDA, NHPC, NTPC, CRAZY ENGINEERS and CETPA will also be present.
Eco kart 2014 is an initiative of SAE Collegiate Club and Gautam Buddha University. The main aim of the competition is to reduce the usage of organic fuel i.e. electric powered vehicle. This will not only save the Organic Fuel but also help students to Work upon NO POLLUTION rides and future Fuel.
Eco kart is a national event open to all students pursuing B.tech in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. Eco kart was generated by a thought to make earth green by making a vehicle running on electric motor and to attract minds of students to do some innovations in the field of electric vehicle. It is divided in 2 major parts namely virtual round and dynamic round.
Virtual round was held on 11-12 October 2013. In virtual round the jury has selected 33 teams out of 56 teams to participate in dynamic round. Now dynamic round is to be held on 5, 6, 7 February 2014 in which teams have to bring kart fabricated by them running on electric motor to Gautam Buddha University.
Dynamic round will be consist of technical inspection, Zero Gravity in which kart will be passed over a weighing machine, brake test, acceleration test, zero mile in which efficiency of kart will be checked. Indulge dance competition will also be held, which is also a national event open to all.
